Effective date: October 17, 2026. This policy covers the Ai-Neut web app at ai-neut.grok.me, the Ai-Neut Android app (package com.aineut.app), and this website, www.ai-neut.com.
Ai-Neut is a family app for parents, teens, and kids. Family profiles, parent consent for kids under 13, the points-shop approvals, and the in-app Report button are rolling out in the app update that comes before the Google Play launch. Items marked rolling out describe that update. Until it arrives, a parent should set up any phone a child under 13 uses, in kid's phone mode, which keeps the child's writing on that phone.

Ai-Neut is run by Charles-Gordon Stuart Eaton, an individual in Johns Creek, Georgia, USA, doing business as Ai-Neut ("we," "us"). Contact: familyainewt@gmail.com, Johns Creek, GA, USA.
Planned change of owner. Charles plans to form a limited liability company (LLC) to run Ai-Neut. When that happens, the LLC will take over Ai-Neut and this policy, and it will keep following this policy. We'll post the LLC's name here and tell you in the app before the change takes effect. Your data, and your children's data, won't be used in new ways without the notice and consent described in Changes.
The first time Ai-Neut opens, it asks for your birth month and year. It uses the answer only to choose the right kind of profile, then keeps just the age band (under 13, 13 to 17, or 18+), not the date.
| Profile | How you get in | What's different |
|---|---|---|
| Adult / parent (18+) | On your own. Signing in is optional. | Can create a family, add kids, connect calendars, buy Helping Hand, and run the points shop. Adult-only rooms are available only to adult profiles that aren't on a kid's or teen's phone. |
| Teen (13 to 17) | On your own. No parent permission is needed in Ai-Neut (Google Play may ask a parent in some states; see Teens). | No adult rooms, private by default, and an optional link to a family. |
| Kid (under 13) | Only after a parent adds the child and gives consent, then links the child's phone with a one-time code. | No sign-in, no AI, no purchases, no public sharing, and no contact with anyone outside the family. |
This section is our notice to parents under the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). It applies to children under 13.
Family data that syncs, including the child's profile, chores, and points, is end-to-end encrypted with the family key on the phone. Our server stores only the locked copy and can't read it.
Before a child's profile works, the parent (an adult with a signed-in parent account) reads this notice in the app and confirms consent, and we email the parent's address a direct notice with a consent link. Because we use children's information only internally and don't disclose it to third parties, we use the FTC's "email plus" method: after consent, we send a second confirmation email that repeats this notice and explains how to withdraw consent. If consent isn't confirmed, the child's profile isn't activated, and anything entered for it is deleted within 14 days.
A parent can, at any time: review the information in the child's profile (Family → the child → See this child's data); change it; stop further collection; withdraw consent; or delete the child's profile and data (Family → the child → Delete this child), or email familyainewt@gmail.com. We'll ask a question to confirm you're the parent. Withdrawing consent deletes the child's profile and synced data. The child's on-device journal is erased when the child's phone is unlinked or the app's data is cleared.
We don't make a child give more information than the activity needs. If we learn we've collected a child's personal information without parental consent, we delete it.
These are saved in your browser's or app's local storage on your phone or computer. We don't receive them:
Microphone: the Ask/mic button uses your device's or browser's speech recognition to turn speech into text. On many Android phones and in Chrome, that service is run by Google under Google's own policies. Ai-Neut gets only the text and doesn't record or upload audio. Front camera: some themes may use the camera only as a light sensor, reading tiny frames on the device. Nothing is saved or uploaded. Both need your permission.
Save a file on this phone downloads a copy (Ai-Neut.json) to your device. That copy is yours, and we don't receive it.
| Feature | What we receive | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Sign in (Google or X; adults and teens only) | Name, email address, account ID, age band, and a sign-in session. | Account, family, journal copy, Helping Hand. |
| Parent consent for a child | The parent's email, the date and time consent was given or withdrawn, and the confirmation emails. | To prove and respect consent (COPPA). |
| Family (house) sync | Shared calendar, lists, standards, child profiles, chores, points, and rewards, encrypted on the phone with the family key. Our server can't read it. | To keep linked family phones in sync. |
| Journal copy off this phone (adults and teens) | A copy of the journal, notes, pages, and events, only when you tap to keep one. It's protected by your sign-in but is not end-to-end encrypted. The lock code is never sent. | Restoring on another phone. |
| Calendar link (feed; adults) | The family plan you choose to publish as a calendar link. Anyone with the link can see those events. | So the plan shows in other calendar apps. |
| Calendar subscriptions (ICS, Apple, Yahoo, school) | The link you paste. Our server fetches it and passes it to your phone without keeping the events. | Most calendar links can't be read directly by a browser. |
| Helping Hand (adults and teens) | Plan, dates, and counters; asks, pictures, and voice text sent to the AI. | The paid features. |
| Payments | Payment reference, plan, amount, and date. We never see your card number. | Billing, refunds, and taxes. |
| Reports and emails to us | What you send and your address. | Safety and support. |
Our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information (such as IP address, browser type, and time) to deliver the app and protect it from abuse. We don't use it for tracking.
calendar.events) and to see your list of calendars (calendar.calendarlist.readonly). Until the next app update narrows this, it may ask for the broader calendar scope. Microsoft Outlook / Microsoft 365 asks for Calendars.ReadWrite, User.Read, and offline_access.Ai-Neut's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular:
Microsoft data gets the same treatment.
Helping Hand is the optional paid part of Ai-Neut that uses an AI model (Grok, from xAI) to answer asks, make pictures, plan a "hunt" for your town, and speak in the named voices (Luna, Ara, Ursa, Eve). When you use it, what you type or say, any picture you add, and the text to be spoken are sent to xAI so it can produce the answer. xAI processes this as our service provider under its own policies. It isn't used for ads or sold.
We don't sell, rent, or trade personal information, we don't share it for advertising, and Ai-Neut has no ads. Children's information isn't disclosed to any third party. We use only these service providers, and only to run Ai-Neut:
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, or to stop fraud or abuse. If Ai-Neut is transferred, including to Charles's LLC, the new owner must follow this policy.

|---|---|
| Anything only on your device | Until you delete it (Delete my data, clearing app or site data, or uninstalling). |
| Account (adult or teen) | While the account is open. Deleted within 30 days after you delete it. Accounts nobody signs in to for 24 months are deleted. |
| Child profile and child's synced data | While the parent keeps the profile and consent. Deleted when the parent deletes the child or withdraws consent, when the family is deleted, or after 12 months with no use by the child's phone. Profiles without confirmed consent are deleted within 14 days. |
| Consent records | For as long as the child's profile exists, plus 3 years, to show we got consent. |

| Safety reports | 1 year, or longer if the law requires (for example, a report to NCMEC). |
| Payment records | As long as tax and accounting law requires, generally up to 7 years. |
| Support emails | Up to 2 years. |
| Backups and hosting logs | Removed on the providers' normal schedules. |
In the app: Settings → Delete my data erases that device's data and, if you're signed in, your account and server data. Parents: Family → the child → Delete this child. On the web, or without the app: see Delete account. We finish web requests within 30 days.
All connections use HTTPS. Family data is end-to-end encrypted with the family key. Calendar tokens stay on the device. We keep a written security program for children's data, limit who can access our systems, and delete data on the schedule above. If a breach affects your information, we'll tell you as the law requires.
We'll update the effective date when this policy changes, and give notice in the app before important changes (including the move to an LLC). We won't use data we already have in a new way without asking first. For children, that means new parental consent. We tell Google Play about significant changes as Texas law requires.
